About the race
OUTLAST Shreveport Night Out Edition is a six hour trail endurance challenge held June 5–6, 2027 in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event takes place at 9100 Hwy 1 and follows the OUTLAST 6-hour format.
Participants run a 5K loop each hour on the hour. Each lap must be completed within the hour to continue; if a participant misses a lap they are removed from the event. Runners who complete all six laps complete the full challenge, while completing four or five laps earns recognition.
The course is trail based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions. This night edition requires headlamps for night participants. The event is cupless; runners must bring their own bottle or hydration system. Aid at the basecamp or loop start will provide water, basic hydration, and snacks.
All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Awards include patches for four and five laps and a premium OUTLAST medal for six laps. The fastest combined 5K times determine local division winners for male and female categories. Finishers are ranked on a national leaderboard; the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events earns a $1,000 national prize. The top five male and female champions from each city earn a spot at the Outlast Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where championship prizes are awarded for first through third place.
