OUTLAST Dallas Fort Worth - Granbury
OUTLAST is a timed trail endurance challenge held December 5-6, 2026 in Granbury, Texas. Runners complete a 5K lap every hour, on the hour; each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event. Those who finish early rest until the next round; missing a lap eliminates a participant from further rounds.
The event offers three formats based on total rounds:
- 18 Miles 6 Hour Challenge
- 36 Miles Outlast ULTRA 12 Hour Challenge
- 72 Miles Outlast ULTRA 24 Hour Challenge
All courses are trail-based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable surface conditions including dirt, rocks, roots, and occasional pavement or gravel. Individual 5K laps are timed; combined times across all completed laps are used for local results and national leaderboard placement.
Support at the loop start includes water, basic hydration, and snacks; this is a cupless event so participants should bring a bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station at basecamp. Finish milestones earn incremental recognition: patches for four and five laps, a premium 6-inch medal for six laps, a 12-inch medal for twelve laps, and a buckle for twenty-four laps. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee.
Top male and female finishers are determined by fastest combined 5K times and are entered on the national leaderboard, where the fastest across all OUTLAST 6-hour events earns a $1,000 prize. The top 5 male and female 6-hour champions from each city qualify for the Outlast Championship in DFW, with cash prizes for top finishers.
