About the race
Camp Classic Trail Run is a trail race held at Camp El Tesoro that raises funds for Camp Fire youth programs in North Texas. The route passes through woods, prairies, and creek-side paths and is marked with signs, arrows, hazard indicators, and mile markers. Water stations are located at approximately 1.7 miles; 5K runners pass it once and 10K runners pass it twice. The 5K completes one full lap of the course and the 10K covers two laps from the same start line. Both walkers and runners are welcome.

Pre-race registration fees listed are $30 for the 5K, $40 for the 10K, free for the Kids 1K, and $55 for The Challenge; virtual entry fees are shown as $20 to $25 for different races. Race shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by January 6. The event is rain or shine; registration fees are non-refundable and proceeds support the Camp Fire Camp Scholarship Fund.
Timing is chip based and managed by Race Day Event Services with results available within 1 to 2 minutes after crossing the finish line. First aid responders from the DeCordova Bend Estates / Acton Volunteer Fire Department will be on site at the finish line. Cabins are climate controlled, sleep 12 in group-style lodging, include private restrooms, are accessible, and include a light breakfast on race morning. Strollers are not permitted on the trails.
