One Flag Forward - San Antonio is a community run and walk held on September 13, 2026 at 3700 N St Marys St, San Antonio, TX. The local event is part of the national One Flag Forward relay taking place September 12 to 16, 2026, during which a single American flag travels from Ground Zero to the Global War on Terrorism Memorial.
The Community Run/Walk uses a 2.5 mile loop completed repeatedly over a 2.5 hour period. Participants attempt to complete as many loops as possible in that time; walking, running, and rucking are all permitted. Registration for the local event is free.
One Flag Forward is a joint effort between wear blue run to remember and Team Red, White & Blue. The five day relay covers 250 miles and passes through the hands of Gold Star and surviving family members, veterans, service members, military family members, and civilian supporters. The local event in San Antonio observes the relay’s intent to honor those who have served and to mark the 25 year remembrance of the events following September 11, 2001.
