OUTLAST SAN ANTONIO
OUTLAST is a six-hour trail endurance challenge held in San Antonio on 12/12/2026 at 1349 Neal Rd. The event structure requires participants to complete a 5K lap every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; runners who finish early wait until the next round. Completing all six laps means finishing the full challenge.
Courses are trail-based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions; some sections may include pavement or gravel. The event provides a basecamp with aid offerings such as water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants are expected to use their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up personal tents or small aid stations between laps.
Awards and recognition are given by laps completed and by combined time. Runners who complete four laps earn a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earn a “Survivor” patch, and six laps earn a premium OUTLAST 6-inch medal. All entrants receive a premium OUTLAST T‑shirt. The top male and female at each event are determined by fastest combined 5K times. Finishers are ranked on a world leaderboard; the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events wins a $1,000 prize. The top five male and female champions from each city earn a spot in the Outlast World Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where additional cash prizes are awarded.
