Oh Meu Deus by UTMB
Oh Meu Deus by UTMB is a trail running event held in the central region of Portugal, centered around the town of Seia. Established in 2011, the race explores the natural heritage of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, which is the largest natural park in Portugal. The event has expanded its course to include additional landscapes such as the Serra do Açor and Serra da Lousã, passing through historic schist and mountain villages.
The event offers four distinct race distances:
- 100M: A course of 167 km with an elevation gain of 8900 m.
- 100K: A course of 94 km with an elevation gain of 5300 m.
- 50K: A course of 52 km with an elevation gain of 2900 m.
- 20K: A course of 22 km with an elevation gain of 1000 m.
The routes utilize ancestral trails and traverse diverse historical sites, including Schist Villages and Mountain Villages. The event is part of the UTMB World Series, and participants can earn Running Stones upon completion. The terrain is characterized by its technical and physical demands, crossing through forests and mountain landscapes in the heart of Portugal.
