Ogwen | Yr Helgi Du 2027
Ogwen | Yr Helgi Du is a set of mountain running races held in Eryri's Ogwen Valley at Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig on 24 July 2027. The courses run across high ground in the Carneddau and, on the longest route, the Glyderau, and are described as skyrunning-style routes with technical terrain and significant ascent.
Three distances are available:
- 40K includes the Glyderau range and additional ascent
- 25K follows routes across the Carneddau front range
- 15K shorter mountain route within the Ogwen Valley
Trails are marked and supported by Mountain Leader presence on the course. On-course support includes marshals, signage, energy stations and support vehicles. Timing is managed with chip timing and results are published online. Finishers receive mementos designed to reflect the event location and local history.
An event village at Plas y Brenin features music, commentary, shopping, food, drink and toilets. The route and event information note the notable Eryri skyline and scenery.
