Occoneechee Speedway Relay
The Occoneechee Speedway Relay is a team relay held on 02/21/2027 at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway in Hillsborough, NC. Teams of two or four runners share the course as they complete a fixed number of laps around the dirt track.
The relay consists of 20 laps, with each lap just over 1 kilometer, making the total distance roughly 13.5 miles. Teams may hand off in any order and after any number of laps; there is no required distance per runner. A team finishes when it has completed the total of 20 laps.
Registration for teams follows a specific payment procedure: the first team registrant secures the spot by paying the full team registration fee, and additional teammates register individually without an additional charge. Registration opens on 11/15/2026 and closes on 02/18/2027. Team entry fees are $120 for a two person team and $240 for a four person team.
Awards are planned for top teams in the following categories for both team sizes: All Male, All Female, and Co-Ed. Every participant will receive custom race swag and post-race food and refreshments. Parking at the Speedway is limited; vehicles may be directed to park on neighboring business property. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
