Camp Chestnut Ridge Trail Run
The Camp Chestnut Ridge Trail Run is an annual trail race held at Camp Chestnut Ridge in Efland, North Carolina. The 2026 event is the 17th edition and takes place on November 21, 2026.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 1 mile Fun Run
- 5K
- 8 mile
The course runs entirely on trails and camp roads composed of dirt and gravel. Runners will encounter rolling hills through old hardwood forests and a loop that goes around a 10 acre lake. Water stations are provided on the course. Walkers are welcome in the 1 mile and 5K events. Event policies prohibit headphones, dogs, and strollers.
Proceeds support camp ministries, including the Chestnut Ridge Campership Fund which provides scholarships for children and youth in financial need. Online registration closes on November 20; in person registration on race day is available. Participants who register by November 9 are guaranteed a race shirt.
Awards include top male and top female in both the 5K and the 8 mile races. On site there will be music, door prizes, food, and childcare during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
