NSRF Long Island Lemonade Trail 5K
This event is a trail 5K run/walk held at Blydenburgh County Park in Hauppauge, NY. The course combines pavement, dirt roads, and hard-packed trails that a vehicle can drive on. Porta-johns are located near the finish line and additional bathrooms are a few minutes' walk from the start and finish area.
Event amenities include an informal bag check area, hydration provided at the finish, and refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Parking is available within the park: primary parking near Picnic Areas 1-5, secondary parking at the boat launch, and additional spots near the dog park and the park entrance.
A virtual participation option is offered; virtual entrants have from the first day of the event and a full week to log a time and upload up to five photos. Bibs can be mailed for a fee of $10 if registration occurs at least ten days before the event. Race results are delivered live online, by email, or by text, and free video and same-day finish-line photos are provided.
The event directs 100 percent of donations to the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
