NSRF Great Pumpkin Dash Trail 5K
The event is a trail 5K run and walk at Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown, NY on October 11, 2026. There is a free Kiddie Dash held prior to the main race. Registration includes both in person and virtual participation options; virtual participants may log results and upload photos during the event week.
The course is scenic and shaded and uses a mix of dirt roads and hard packed trails with some sandy spots. The route is described as not overly technical and strollers and wagons are not permitted. Bathrooms are located within a few minutes walk of the start and finish. Hydration is provided at the finish and refreshments are supplied by event partners All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. An informal bag check area is available but the organizer does not assume responsibility for belongings.
Participants receive a Great Pumpkin Dash Trail tee. Bib mailing is available for an additional fee if registered at least ten days before the event. Top finishers receive online recognition with overall places and age group listings for multiple age categories. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501 c 3 nonprofit that supports youth and special needs events and athlete development.
