North Lakes Half Marathon & 10km
Wild Deer Events, working with Events Up North and Timing Up North, stages the North Lakes road races in and around Cockermouth. The event is scheduled for 7 February 2027 and uses roads through the Lorton Valley with views across the Lake District.
The routes start and finish near Cockermouth Town Centre and follow quiet country lanes. Organisers describe the courses as fast-ish road routes.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. There is no cut-off time for the event. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An event T-shirt is available to purchase for £14.
There is ample parking in Cockermouth Town Centre within walking distance of the start. There is also an accommodation option at Graysonside Guest House, where guests may park for the event.
The event supports Blood Bikes Cumbria. Blood Bikes Cumbria provides a free out of hours medical courier service 365 days a year for urgently needed blood products, samples, breast milk and other medical requirements.
