Ultra England 50
Ultra England 50 is a point to point 54 mile race on Saturday 24 October 2026 that follows much of the Cumbria Way from Keswick to Ulverston through the Lake District National Park. The route may include high ground such as Great Gable and Scafell Pike but the high sections are subject to weather and may be avoided for safety. The event is self-navigation with High and Low GPX options and features live online tracking via GB Race Tracker.
The race holds a UK Athletics licence via the Trail Running Association and offers UTMB performance index and ITRA mountain points. Entry is limited to 250 places, with a 20 hour overall cut off and an entry fee shown as £139 for the event. An update notes the 2026 edition is sold out.
Entrants must be at least 20 years old, have completed a marathon distance event under race conditions prior to race day, and have mountain navigation experience. Mandatory kit is enforced and subject to random checks; required items include a GPS device with access to the GPX files, waterproof coat and trousers, headtorch plus backup light, whistle, survival bag, charged mobile phone and a GB Race Tracker device supplied at registration.
There are multiple checkpoints along the route providing food, hot drinks at Coniston and basic medical cover. Supporter and crew access is restricted at several checkpoints for safety.
