No Shame Shindig
No Shame Shindig takes place on June 12, 2027, in Pierce, Nebraska. The event offers multiple distance options on trails at Willow Creek State Recreation Area, located on the 700 acre Willow Creek Reservoir about 4 miles southwest of Pierce and about 15 miles northwest of Norfolk. The park is managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

For 2027 the course will be run in reverse. The race uses a 10 mile loop on the Limestone Hike/Bike Trail. The Start/Finish and main aid station are located at the Warren G. Otto Picnic Area (Boat Launch). There is an unmanned aid station approximately halfway that will be stocked with water, ice, Tailwind Sports Drink and snacks.
Food and hydration at the main aid station include a variety of all day options such as chips, cookies, nuts, candy, fresh fruit and vegetables, grilled cheese made to order, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or wraps, hummus, and pickles. Tailwind Sports Drink is provided as the electrolyte option. Water, coffee, pickle juice and ice will also be available.
Willow Creek SRA offers multiple camping types including electric and basic sites plus equestrian options. Campground amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water, dump and fill station, restrooms, showers and laundry. Registration opens November 1, 2026. Discount programs are available for military, donors and first responders and a repeat racer discount applies after two prior races. Awards are presented to the top male and female finisher in each category; winners receive custom plaques and there are no cash prizes. Race swag includes a speed cup, sun proof long sleeve shirt, distance specific medals and race hats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
