About the race
The Napa Fall Wine Country event on October 24, 2026 takes place at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park in Saint Helena, California. It is the 34th annual edition and is limited to 300 participants. Distances offered include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Virtual Runner
The course runs mostly on single-track trails inside the state park and includes hills, streams, and rocky sections. The route is marked with orange ribbon; runners should watch trail crossings and follow the ribbon. There is one aid station at the start/finish area. Half marathoners encounter it once between loops; marathoners encounter it at miles 6, 10, 16, and 20. Organizers recommend carrying water. The course cut-off time is 6 hours (13:45 min/mile pace for marathoners; 27:30 min/mile pace for half marathoners; 58 min/mile pace for 10Kers). Hikers and walkers may participate.
All participants receive a T-shirt. Medals are awarded to all marathon and half marathon finishers. Personalized award ribbons are mailed to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group. Bib numbers are mailed beginning two weeks before the event; unreceived bibs are available for pick up on race morning.
Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. A rollover credit (amount paid minus a $20 fee) may be issued if requested by September 24, 2026; after that date a doctor's note is required for credit. Parking inside the park is $10 per vehicle; free overflow parking is available along Hwy 29. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on course due to narrow trails and steep drop-offs. This event is not associated with the Annual Napa Valley Marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
