2027 Napa Valley Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K
The event on March 20, 2027 takes place at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park on Saint Helena Highway in California. It offers multiple trail distances and is limited to 300 participants; the field typically sells out.

The course uses single-track trails that pass streams and includes hills and rocky sections. Turn points and trail crossings are marked with orange ribbon. The 10K is a single loop. The half marathon runs the 10K loop twice. Marathoners run the 10K loop plus a roughly 4 mile out-and-back extension to the Old Bale Grist Mill, repeating that sequence and finishing with a final 10K loop.
There is one aid station at the start and finish area; marathoners encounter it multiple times. Participants are advised to carry hydration. A course cut off of six hours applies for the marathon.
Logistics include mailed bib numbers beginning about two weeks before the race and an athlete check in window on race morning for bib pickup or distance changes. All participants receive event T shirts. Finisher medals are awarded to full and half marathon finishers and age group ribbons are mailed to top three finishers in each age group. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on course. Parking inside the park carries a fee while overflow parking is available on Highway 29.
