Murray Bridge Marathon Festival : 2026 running festival
The Murray Bridge Marathon Festival is an annual running event held at Murray Cods Drive, Murray Bridge SA, Australia. The 2026 edition is presented by Murraylands Multisports Inc and is the event's Halloween edition. The course starts and finishes by the Bunyip at Sturt Reserve and largely follows the riverfront, including the riverside esplanade, reserve areas, Bridge Street, and the first bridge to span the Murray River. A temporary bridge closure allows all runners to run across that bridge as part of the course.
For 2026 the full marathon distance has been removed because of construction on the levee banks; organisers intend to return the marathon distance in 2027. Course maps are published on the MMI website.
Distances offered
- 5 km Monster Mash Fun Run with Halloween dressing encouraged
- 10 km covering highlights of the marathon course
- 21.1 km Half marathon
The event includes a themed 5 km family and kids fun run with a special children’s pricing note in the registration details. Registration windows and tiered pricing were listed by organisers, and course-specific information and maps are available from the event organiser.
