Murray Bridge Marathon Festival : November 1, 2026
The Murray Bridge Marathon Festival is scheduled for November 1, 2026 in Murray Bridge, South Australia. The event is organised by Murraylands Multisports Inc and is the eighth annual running of the festival, presented as a Halloween edition.
The course starts and finishes by the Bunyip at Sturt Reserve and follows riverside sections that take in River Cities highlights. The route runs along the riverside esplanade, reserve and Bridge Street, and includes the first bridge to span the Murray River; a bridge closure allows participants to cross this bridge during the event.
Distances offered for 2026 include:
- 21.1 km half marathon course alongside the Murray River
- 10 km course covering highlights of the longer route
- 5 km Monster Mash Fun Run with a Halloween theme; children may dress in costume
The full marathon distance has been removed for the 2026 event because of construction works on the levee banks and is planned to return in 2027. Course maps are available on the organiser's website.
