Muddy Shamrock @ The Forge is the sixth annual early-season trail race held at The Forge in Lemont, Illinois (227 Heritage Quarries Dr., 60439). The course runs on wooded single and double track trails around the historic Lemont Quarries and includes dirt, mud, roots, and other typical trail features.

Both distances traverse single-track mountain bike trails within the woods and use gravel trails through the Forge and adjoining trail systems. The half marathon is organized as two loops and is described as mostly technical singletrack.
