Mud Tribe

Mud Tribe is a muddy obstacle course event held at Nuclear Mud Tribe in Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood, Essex. The event offers two approachable route options and a sequence of obstacles that do not require upper body strength. The course includes foam and water features but no full water submersion. Participants complete the course at their own pace as there is no chip timing.

Distances:

  • 1.5 km
  • 5 km

Facilities and participant provisions include hot wash downs, changing rooms, a bag drop, a finisher medal and a free finisher photo with additional photos available to purchase. The event village features music, face painting and other family-friendly elements. The event encourages charity fundraising and is described as suitable for a wide range of fitness levels and ages. Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

The 5 km route adds more mud and foam features compared with the shorter option, while the 1.5 km route is intended for families and younger participants. A female only Mud Tribe Sisters start time is offered at some events. The site is accessed from Brentwood, with road links to the A12, M25 and M11, and is about 15 minutes by taxi from Brentwood mainline station or from Epping Underground station.
