MTC NUCKELAVEE

MTC NUCKELAVEE is presented as a one day Mount to Coast ultra that forms Day 3 of the nine day MTC SCOTIA series. The route runs from Travelodge Edinburgh Airport to Travelodge Perth A9 and is listed at about 40 miles with roughly 2,700 ft of ascent and a similar amount of descent.

Entries are limited; the event allows 20 standard race places plus an additional allowance of 20 for SCOTIA competitors, giving a maximum field of 40. The organisers apply preset cut offs based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; competitors who fall below that threshold may be withdrawn. All entrants must be aged 18 or over.

All finishers receive a bespoke NUCKELAVEE medal and male and female champions receive trophies. There is an optional race package that includes an embroidered race shirt and a lightweight hi viz jacket; the upgrade must be selected at checkout and is subject to a four week lead time for clothing supply. Entry fees are listed in the event information.

Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants only and are emailed before the event. Competitors will be issued with tracking devices that include SOS capability. The event is cup free so runners should bring a reusable cup. A mandatory kit list and safety rules apply and competitors must carry specified items such as a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone and basic first aid. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
