2027 Mt. Tam Wild Boar Half Marathon & 10K
The event is the 39th annual Mt. Tam Wild Boar trail race held at Mt Tamalpais State Park in Mill Valley, California on April 24, 2027. Two course options are offered with a field limited to 300 participants.
The route combines paved roadways and dirt single-track trails along the coastal ridge of Bolinas Ridge. Runners follow Ridgecrest Boulevard from the Rock Springs start, with views of Bolinas Lagoon, the Pacific Ocean and the Marin County watershed. The 10K turns left onto Willow Camp Trail and returns to Rock Springs via the Coastal Trail. The Half Marathon continues to Bolinas/Fairfax Road and also returns via the Coastal Trail. The course is marked with orange ribbon; a course monitor will direct 10K runners and a sign designates the half marathon turnaround.
Course cut off is three hours which equates to roughly a 13:45 minute per mile pace for half marathoners and about a 29 minute per mile pace for 10K runners. Aid stations are placed at mile 5 for the 10K and at miles 2.35, 7 and 12 for the half marathon. Food and drink are provided at the finish and participants are advised to carry water.
All participants receive T-shirts. Half marathon finishers receive medals. Personalized award ribbons for the top three male and female finishers in each age group will be mailed. Bibs are mailed beginning two weeks before the race; unreceived bibs may be picked up on race morning. Parking is available at the Rock Springs parking area. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on course. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable; without enhanced refund protection, a rollover credit may be requested by March 24, 2027 subject to a $20 fee.
