Nitro Turkey

Nitro Turkey is a Thanksgiving morning turkey trot held at Point Pinole Regional Park in San Pablo, California on November 26, 2026. The event includes runs for adults and a short kids race called Little Turkeys.

Races are held on the park trails and include the following distances:

  • 10K on the trails of Point Pinole
  • 5K on the trails of Point Pinole
  • Little Turkeys roughly 100 yards for children

Children 10 and under who attend with 5K or 10K runners receive free entry into Little Turkeys and are given special medals and a goodie bag. Thanksgiving-themed costumes are encouraged for both children and adults, and walkers are welcome.

The event supports the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano. Participants are asked to bring at least one canned good on race morning. Cash donations can be made during registration and collection bins will be available on race day.
