Mt. Sneffels Half Marathon and 10K

The Mt. Sneffels event is scheduled for August 15, 2026, in Ouray and Ridgway, Colorado, and is organized as a fundraiser for the Mount Sneffels Education Foundation. All races will start and finish at Ridgway Frontier Field CR 23 due to county road and bridge construction.

The courses run along scenic Ouray County roads and are reported to be 99% dirt surface. The Kids Fun Run starts and finishes on the soccer field area west of the pavilion at Ridgway Frontier Field.

Logistics and race policies include packet pickup the day before the race at Ridgway Athletic Park / Frontier Field, no day-of registration for the half marathon and 10K (bib pickup only), and a day-of registration option for the Kids Fun Run. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own water container. A post-race shuttle is provided from Ridgway back to Ouray. The event is limited to the first 500 registrants.

All participants receive a finisher medal. The half marathon and 10K award first through third place male and female finishers with awards designed by JT Custom Metal Works. Registered participants who sign up before July 1st are eligible for a shirt and size guarantee. No dogs, other animals, strollers, or bikes are allowed on the course.
