Morland Half Marathon
The Morland Half Marathon is a trail half marathon held in the Eden Valley, starting and finishing in the village of Morland near Penrith on 15 August 2027. The course is 13.6 miles long with about 1330 ft of elevation and is open to runners and walkers who can complete the route within the five hour cut off.
The route is largely off road on mixed terrain and is partially self-navigated with some signage. It passes rivers, becks, Eden Valley villages, woodlands, and pastures. Two checkpoints on the course provide water and snacks. The event uses the village hall at Morland CA10 3AS as the start and finish location and parking is available.
Entries include a finishers medal, water and snacks at the two checkpoints, with an optional finishers tee available for an extra fee. Entry fees are listed as standard and affiliated prices. Trophies are awarded for overall first male, first female, first non-binary, and first veterans in FV50, FV60, FV70, MV50, MV60, and MV70 categories. The event has a race permit ARC/26/0581 and provides first aid on the day.
Policies include an option to transfer a booking to another runner up to four weeks before the event, a one year deferral once up to four weeks before the event, and no refunds. Entrants must be over 17 on race day. Dogs are allowed with lead restrictions near livestock and at the start. Support runners are permitted but must be self sufficient.
