About the race
The Monsal Trail April Half Marathon & 10k Weekend is a two-day running event held at Bakewell Station in Bakewell, Derbyshire, on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2027. The event offers both a half marathon and a 10K on the Monsal Trail.
The route follows a former Midland Railway line starting at the old Bakewell station site. Runners pass through four tunnels and cross the Monsal viaduct on a traffic free trail surrounded by Peak District scenery. The course is described as multi terrain and undulating.

Detailed route maps, including GPX files, are available for the courses. The event includes a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. On-the-day entry fees are listed as £40 for the half marathon and £35 for the 10K.
Location and access information notes that there is no general car parking at Bakewell Station except for disabled motorists; two large pay and display car parks are about 500 metres from the station. The road to the station is a no through road. Additional parking and spectator facilities, plus a café, are available at Hassop Station about one mile along the trail.
