Moab Run the Rocks : March 5-7, 2027
Moab Run the Rocks is a three-day trail running stage race held on singletrack trails around Moab, Utah. The event is organized as a stage race with three distinct stages named Navajo Rocks, Gemini Bridges, and Bar M, spread across three days. Registration is limited to 700 runners.
There are two distance options offered over the three stages:
- Full Pint: 47.2 miles (75 km), 4,480 ft vertical gain.
- Half Pint: 36.8 miles (58 km), 2,670 ft vertical gain.
Awards are presented for Full and Half Pint categories with prizes by age group: Open Men/Women (under 50) and 50+ Men/Women. First-place finishers in those age groups receive a complimentary entry to the 2028 edition. General classification podiums for male and female Full and Half Pint will be recognized.
Event support includes packet pickup and pre-race activities at Swanny Park, shuttle service from local hotels, and a race office with lost and found. Participants are asked to remain on designated trails to protect fragile cryptogamic soil and to follow course markings because wildlife hazards such as rattlesnakes may be present.
The format allows competing across all three days or entering single-day options for the longer courses. The description above reflects the race format and logistics for the March 5-7, 2027 weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
