Mission Trails Twilight Runs

The Mission Trails Twilight Runs is the second annual trail race held at Mission Trails Regional Park. The event takes place at East Fortuna Staging, with the event address listed as off 52 and Mast Blvd. The field is strictly limited to 300 runners.

The event offers three distances:

  • 50K loop course - two laps
  • 25K loop course - one lap
  • 5K out-and-back

The 25K and 50K courses are 100% dirt loop courses that combine dirt service roads and technical single track. Elevation gain is 2706 ft per lap. There are four aid stations on course plus one checkpoint aid station specific to the 50K. Course limits are 6 hours for the 25K and 10 hours for the 50K.

The 5K is a 100% dirt out-and-back on service roads with 84 ft of elevation gain, no on-course aid stations, and a 90 minute course limit. The 25K and 50K require prior trail run experience; the 5K is described as beginner friendly.

The schedule for the event date is in late May 2027. Registration for the 2027 event opens on September 7, 2026. The race experience includes running during sunset and into the night sky. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
