Mind Over Mountains
Mind Over Mountains is a trail running event on November 14, 2026 in Auburn, California. Races start and finish at Auburn CrossFit and use trails in the American River Canyon.
Distances offered:
- Robie 5K: 3.5 miles, 75% unpaved
- No Hands 10K: 7.2 miles, 87% unpaved
- K2 Half Marathon: 13.4 miles, 93% unpaved
- Trail Tribe 50K: 30 miles, 95% unpaved
All races begin at Auburn CrossFit and head toward Robie Point before descending into the canyon and returning to Auburn CrossFit. The 5K follows the Robie Point Fuel Break Trail and finishes through Auburn streets. The 10K uses the Western States Trail to the No Hands Bridge aid station and returns the same way. The half marathon adds the K2 training hill, a run along Pointed Rocks Ranch, and the Wendell T. Robie Trail aka "Roller Coaster" on the return. The 50K follows the half marathon route to the Cool Aid Station then completes two additional loops that include Salt Creek Trail, Olmstead Trail, the Rim Trail, and Knickerbocker Creek before returning via the Roller Coaster and Western States Trail.
Packet pick-up details are provided: early pick-up is Friday, November 13 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Auburn CrossFit, 858 High Street, Auburn, CA 95603. Race morning packet pick-up is Saturday, November 14 from 5:45 AM to 7:00 AM at the same location. Registration closes Wednesday, November 11 at 11:59 PM PT.
