Doomsday : December 12, 2026, Cool, CA
Doomsday is a trail running event held in Cool, California at the Cool Staging Area, 7200 Saint Florian Court. The event offers two distances and limits entry to 200 runners total. Courses are hiker and back-of-the-pack friendly and trekking poles are allowed.
- 50K : 5,100 feet gain/loss, multiple aid stations, 9.5-hour cutoff.
- Half Marathon : 1,250 feet gain/loss, one aid station, 5-hour cutoff.
Packet pick-up is available early on Friday, December 11 at Auburn CrossFit, 858 High Street, Auburn, CA, and on race morning at the Cool Staging Area. Parking fees are not included in registration; participants should display a Golden Poppy Pass or purchase a day use pass for $10 cash. Volunteers will direct parking to the day use lot or overflow on Haul Road.
Aid stations on the 50K include Knickerbocker Terror, The Dissent of the Descending, No Hands Horror, Robie Point Resurrection, and repeated No Hands Horror locations. Live tracking and real-time results are provided through UltraLive. Course maps, GPX files, and route pages are available via ultraPacer, Strava, Footpath, and AllTrails. Finisher shirts are provided and each finisher receives a weighted medallion; top-three men and top-three women in each distance receive custom three-dimensional trophies.
