Doomsday 50K and Half Marathon
Doomsday is a trail running event in Cool, California, offering two distances on the same race day. Both distances start together at the Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614). The event is limited to 200 runners total.

The 50K course has approximately 5,100 feet of total gain and loss. The half marathon has about 1,250 feet of gain and loss. Aid stations on the 50K occur at Mile 8.88 (Knickerbocker Terror), Mile 13.9 (The Dissent of the Descending), Mile 21.2 (No Hands Horror), Mile 23.1 (Robie Point Resurrection), and Mile 27.8 (No Hands Horror). The half marathon has an aid station at Mile 8.88 (Knickerbocker Terror).
Trail maps, GPX files, and pacing resources are provided by sponsors and mapping services. Live tracking and real time race results are available through UltraLive.net. Trekking poles are allowed and the courses are described as back-of-the-pack and hiker friendly.
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before at Auburn CrossFit in Auburn and on race morning at the Race Start. Parking fees are not included in registration; entrants should display a Golden Poppy Pass or purchase a day use pass for $10 cash at the parking entrance. Finishers receive a weighted finisher medallion and all entrants receive a race shirt. Awards are given to the top three women and top three men in each distance.
