MCW Westfield Ultra

The MCW Westfield Ultra is a timed loop running event at Tamaques Park in Westfield, NJ, organized by MissionCleanWater. Participants choose from multiple timed events and complete as many laps as possible on the park loop. One loop is 0.8 miles and runners may use the paved or the gravel route.

Distances offered include:

  • 24 Hour
  • 12 Hour
  • 9 Hour
  • 6 Hour
  • 3 Hour

The race base is the main parking lot next to the tennis courts and playground, where parking and restrooms are available. Participants may place gear, coolers, and shade cover near the start location of their own supplies. Support crews and pacers are allowed; tent space is restricted to 24-hour participants and may only be set up close to sundown. Nighttime rules for 24-hour runners require a headlamp and a reflective vest, and support teams are asked to minimize travel at night. Quiet hours start at 8 pm.

An aid station at the start/finish provides snacks, prepared food, ice, water, electrolytes, GI supplies, first aid, and hot weather gear. Participants in the shorter events are asked to leave prepared food for longer-event competitors. Each support person is asked to make a small donation to MissionCleanWater.

Refunds are not offered except for documented injury or by meeting a $500 fundraising requirement. Raising $500 also earns a full refund and guaranteed entry to future races. Race medals cannot be guaranteed for registrations after July 15. Trophies are awarded for first through third places and 24-hour finishers may be eligible for a 100-mile belt buckle.
