A Lucky Dip offers a selection of classic Phoenix medals from past years; participants choose a number and receive the corresponding mystery medal with no exchanges. The chosen charity for the event is Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes Research.
Practical information for participants: a mandatory race brief is issued one week before the event. A well stocked vegetarian aid station is available throughout the day with many vegan and gluten free options such as bananas, dates, jelly sweets, crisps, cake, squash and full sugar cola. Participants with severe allergies should bring their own food due to possible cross contamination.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and changing rooms. Parking for 75 cars is available at Hardy Farm on a first come first served basis, with additional parking for up to 100 cars across the river at Sale Water Park, about a 15 minute walk away.
