Lory Summer Trail Series: August 2027
The Lory Summer Trail Series is a four‑race midweek trail series held in August at Lory State Park, Eltuck Picnic Area, Fort Collins, Colorado. Races take place on Tuesday evenings and include a mix of valley and hill courses with measured elevation gain for each date.

Race dates and profiles for 2027:
August 4 : Flat and Fast Eltuck Valley 5K (250 feet elevation gain).
August 11 : Into the Hills Eltuck 10K (1,700 feet elevation gain).
August 18 : Into the Hills Eltuck 5K (700 feet elevation gain).
August 25 : Flat and Fast Eltuck Valley 12K (500 feet elevation gain).
Entry pricing for 2027 uses early and later tiers. Special pricing of ten dollars per race applies to ages 17 and under and is applied automatically based on birth date. Registration opens December 15, 2026.
After each race pizza will be provided with support from the Fort Collins Running Club and beverages will be provided with support from New Belgium Brewing. All participants may choose a free vintage Gnar Runners shirt while supplies last. Awards will be given at the end of the series to top points scorers.
Event policies note that entries are generally non refundable and non transferable except for waitlist transfers, and a 75 percent race transfer credit can be issued within policy limits. There is no on course aid. Two permanent toilets are available at start and finish and additional park restrooms are located on-course at points listed for each race. Other rules include staying on trail, no purposeful littering, no dogs on course, and vehicle day pass requirements if no annual park pass is held.
