Lookout to Lookout to Lookout: February 20, 2027
This event is a roughly 10 miles out and back between Lookout Brewing Company in Black Mountain, NC and the Lookout trailhead in Montreat. The course combines road and greenway sections with technical trail running that includes the climb up and over Lookout Mountain. The route leaves from the brewery, reaches the trailhead, follows a loop on the mountain, and returns to the brewery for the finish.
Aid support is provided at the Lookout Trailhead and at locations near mile 3 and mile 8, with water and snacks available. The finish area will offer water, snacks, cold beer, and a food truck. The event uses a 4 hour cutoff.
Packet pickup is handled at Lookout Brewing Company. There is no parking at the brewery for the event; free public parking lots are available within two to three blocks of the venue and parking is also available behind Black Mountain Primary School. The brewery parking lot will be reserved for the start and finish area and event infrastructure.
The event includes participant items and awards: hoodies and a beer token for participants aged 21 and older, plus special awards for top male and top female finishers provided by Mountain Running Company and Lookout Brewing Company.
