Lofty's Revenge
Lofty's Revenge is a trail running event organised by Adelaide Trail Runners that finishes at the summit of Mt Lofty. The event offers three distances with different start locations and course profiles: 50 km, 28 km, and 10 km.
The 50 km solo course starts at Felixstow Reserve and is approximately 70% trail and 30% road with about 1,800 m of elevation. The 28 km starts at Foxfield Oval in Athelstone and the 10 km starts and finishes at Mt Lofty Summit. A 3-person teams relay is available for the 50 km only, limited to 30 teams, with three legs of roughly 16.1 km, 19.5 km and 14.6 km. Toilets are available at the start of each relay leg and all relay team members receive finishers medals; the winning team members receive winners medals.
Mandatory gear for 28 km and 50 km solo entrants includes a space blanket, whistle, mobile phone and capacity to carry fluids (minimum 1 L for 50 km, 500 ml for 28 km), with additional items added depending on the weather forecast. Aid station locations and course maps are provided online via AllTrails maps. A one-way bus service is offered from Mt Lofty Summit to event starts. Entry pricing varies by distance and entry period.
