Less Turkey, More Trot
Less Turkey, More Trot is a trail event in Olympia, WA held between November 21 and November 29, 2026. The event raises money for the Thurston County Food Bank and is organized by Oly Trail Runners. Routes start and finish at the Mima Falls Trailhead in Capitol Forest. The 2026 location is a change from prior years because Margaret McKenny Trailhead is closed.

Participants choose one or more of the provided routes and complete them on the designated dates. All routes must follow one of the three supplied course maps. The course is marked, and organizers recommend carrying a map or using the Avenza app to access the georeferenced course map. Participants are asked to record their total elapsed time on UltraSignUp when they complete their run.
No formal proof of completion is required. Organizers encourage photo submissions for a chance to win prizes. Awards include categories for best race photos, youngest runners, random raffles, and additional prizes. A special raffle offers prize bundles and proceeds are donated to the Thurston County Food Bank. Registration costs are $20 for adults and $10 for youth. Registration closes on November 29, 2026.
