Lehigh Gap Nature Center 10K Trail Run
The Lehigh Gap Nature Center event is scheduled for October 24, 2026 at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center in Slatington, Pennsylvania. For its 15th running the race uses an entirely new point-to-point course that starts at the Nature Center and finishes 1,000 vertical feet above on the west side of the Lehigh Gap.
Distances
- 10 km Trail Run, point-to-point across Nature Center trails.
- 2 Mile Scamper, mixed surfaces with short hills and single-track sections.
The 10K course traverses multiple named trails on the Nature Center property. It begins with a short steep pitch up the LNE trail, continues on the LNE, then descends the steep Eagle Trail to the flat and fast D&L. The 3 Ponds trail contains scenic single-track sections, and the Double G and Chestnut Oak trails become more technical. The rolling hills of the Prairie Grass trail lead into the final mile, which ascends 1,000 vertical feet to the finish.
The More than a 2 Mile Scamper uses a mixed surface route that includes Rails to Trails sections, paths, two short steep hills, a single-track section, and a rocky descent back to the Nature Center.
