Lehigh Gap Nature Center 10K
The Lehigh Gap Nature Center 10K Trail Run and More or Less a 10K Trail Run event is scheduled for October 24, 2026. This is the 15th running and it uses a newly introduced course on the Nature Center property in Slatington, Pennsylvania.
The 10K is a point to point course that begins at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center and finishes 1,000 vertical feet up the west side of the Lehigh Gap. The route includes a short steep pitch up the LNE trail, a descent on the Eagle Trail, a flat section on the D&L corridor, and scenic single track on the 3 Ponds trail. Single track becomes more technical on the Double G and Chestnut Oak trails, followed by rolling hills on the Prairie Grass trail and a final mile that climbs to the finish.
The More than a 2 Mile Scamper course mixes Rails to Trails sections with paths, includes two short steep hills, a stretch of single track, and a rocky descent back to the Nature Center.
The event supports the Lehigh Gap Nature Center. Awards are given by age group and registrations include giveaways. The race has been produced in partnership with the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and received partial funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
