Legless 5K Beer Challenge at Bowdon Rugby Club

The event is a 5 km course run as two laps of a 2.5 km circuit through fields, woodland and paths at Bowdon Rugby Club. Participants may run or walk the route. Drink stations are positioned during the course, supplying beer, water, cider, Prosecco, wine and gin; drinks are available approximately every kilometre and up to five alcoholic drinks are permitted per runner.

Inflatable and non-inflatable obstacles are placed on the course, including a tyre run, walk the line, hay bales, an inflatable course and a crawler. Access to all obstacles is included with entry. A completion medal is awarded to participants.

Facilities on site include free parking, clubhouse toilets, changing rooms and showers. Food is available from the rugby club with a selection of hot and cold options. There is a bag drop area but it is not supervised; personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk. Spectators are welcome and there is accessible spectator space for wheelchairs.

Safety measures include marshals on the course and a first aid team on standby. The event is restricted to participants aged over 18 and ID will be checked at registration. Team names can be added at checkout. The published event date and entry fee apply to specific bookings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
