Larrabee Lakes Trail Runs

Larrabee Lakes is a set of trail races held at Fairhaven Park with courses that enter Larrabee State Park and the Chuckanut ridgelines. The event offers three distances and routes that share sections of singletrack before splitting and rejoining at various points. The terrain includes smooth singletrack through lush green forest, passages past picturesque lakes, and narrow ridgelines formed by the local geology with peek‑a‑boo views toward Mt. Baker and Bellingham Bay.

All courses begin at Fairhaven Park and proceed onto the Bellingham Interurban Trail toward Larrabee State Park, then climb to the first ridgeline. The routes include steady climbs, stair sections, technical ups and downs on ridge trails, long descents to Old Samish Road, and segments past Lost Lake, Fragrance Lake, and Cedar Lake. The trails remain open to other users, including equestrians, pedestrians, and cyclists. The course features rough, steep, and rocky sections, and runners are advised to follow course markings.

Aid stations are located along each course with food and hydration; specific aid station mileages vary by distance. The event is cupless, so runners should carry a refillable container. Fifty kilometer participants may use a drop bag at the Lost Lake aid station with size and labeling requirements. Every finisher receives a handmade finisher award produced with solar power in Anacortes.
