Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs
The Lambton Estate Summer Trail Runs take place on Sunday 15th August 2027 at Lambton Castle, Chester-le-Street, County Durham. The event is set within the private grounds of the Lambton Estate and uses trails and tracks that are not normally open to the public.
Routes run through woodland, open parkland and estate roads and offer scenic countryside views with the chance to spot wild deer. Surfaces include woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths and private estate roads, creating varied underfoot conditions.
Distances available:
- 5 km introductory trail run
- 5 mile mixed-terrain trail run
- 10 mile scenic, moderately undulating route
- 15 mile longer route combining the 10 mile and 5 mile loops
The event is canicross friendly. One well-controlled dog per runner is permitted and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
All runners receive live chip timing provided by Timing Up North. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a post-race snack and drink. A custom event T-shirt is available for £14 during registration. Entry prices range from £22 to £28 depending on distance. On-site parking is available for participants and spectators for £3.
