Lakeland Paws: Grizedale half marathon
This event marks the fifth season and the first time a half marathon distance is offered in the Lakeland Paws series. It is based at Grizedale Forest and uses wide forest pathways with sections of single track, running on both sides of the forest and offering views over Coniston Water.
Distances include:
- Half marathon using wide trails and sections of single track
- 12k option staying on the west side of the forest
The course will be chip timed and will be waymarked. GPX files are available for download. There are no cut-offs, and participants may run with up to two dogs or without a dog. The minimum age to enter is 16. Entry opens 27 April 2026 and closes 6 March 2027. The published entry fee is £20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
