About the race
Lakeland Paws: Grizedale half marathon is a trail running event at Grizedale Forest on 7 March 2027. It is the fifth season of the series and the first time the organiser offers a half marathon course.
The route uses wide forest pathways with sections of single track and runs on both sides of the forest. The course includes some elevation but is described as largely runnable and offers views over Coniston Water. Participants may run with up to two dogs or without a dog.
The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available for download. There are no cut-offs. A shorter route option stays on the west side of the forest.
