Lakeland Paws: Grizedale half marathon
The event is the first time Lakeland Paws offers a half marathon route in its fifth season. It takes place at Grizedale Forest and uses wide forest pathways with sections of single track. The course uses both sides of the forest and includes some elevation, while remaining relatively runnable though not flat. The route provides views over Coniston Water.
Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 6 March 2027. The minimum age is 16 and the published entry fee is £20. There are no cut-offs for the course. Runners may be accompanied by up to two dogs.
The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available to download. A shorter option of 12 km remains on the west side of the forest.
