Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl
Season 5. This is the second event in a series of up to nine events, held at Grizedale Forest on the south side of the forest. The course uses a mix of forest roads and trails on wide forest paths and provides views across Coniston Water.
The event offers two fully marked, chip timed route options:
- 10K loop, 250 m ascent.
- 5K route, 180 m ascent.
Wide forest paths allow up to two dogs per runner on this course. All dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Runners may also compete without dogs. GPX files for the routes are available to download.
Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 31 October 2026. The minimum age to enter is 16 or older. The published entry fee is £20. The course is the original Grizedale route and is presented as one of the lower elevation options in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
