Ladybower Reservoir Trail Running Festival : 26 September 2026
Ladybower Reservoir Trail Running Festival takes place on 26 September 2026, based at Hope Village and Hope Showground in the Peak District. The event offers trail routes that pass reservoir-side paths, forest tracks, moorland and rolling hill sections with elevated viewpoints across Ladybower and Derwent Reservoirs and the Upper Derwent Valley.
Two race distances are available:
- 21K scenic clockwise loop around Ladybower Reservoir and surrounding hills.
- 52K (52.5 km) ultra around Bamford, Ladybower and the Upper Derwent Valley.
The 52K route includes approximately 1,500 m of elevation gain, with much of the climbing early on and longer runnable sections later. The 21K course combines runnable terrain and woodland sections on a clockwise loop around the reservoir.
All routes are waymarked with trail flags, tags and A5 arrows, and marshals are positioned at major junctions. Organisers provide GPX files so participants can check their position on course. Aid stations are stocked, and entries include a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies.
