Kunanyi Trail Series - Cascade Slide (Bar Edition)
This trail event takes place on 31 October 2026 at Cascade Brewery Bar, 140 Cascade Rd, South Hobart, Hobart 7004, Australia. The run begins at the historic Cascade Brewery Bar beside the Cascade Brewery, which has nearly 200 years of brewing history.
Courses start by following Cascade Track through open woodlands and rainforest gullies, then join the Main Fire Trail with rolling sections of uphill and downhill before returning toward Hobart on fire and mountain bike trails. The route includes Slides Track with mountain bike-style switchbacks, descent into McRobies Gully, and a section on Jurassic Shark, a community-built mountain bike track, before following a ridgeline back to Cascade Brewery Bar.
The Explorer course (Cascade 4.0) uses flowing single track, a steep uphill and a fast descent. It climbs Cascade Track into open woodland, then drops to Old Farm Road, crosses a bridge, and heads up the steep driveway into the Golden Gully ridgeline, omitting Slides Track, McRobies Gully and Jurassic Shark.
