About the race
The Kettlewell 10k Trail Race is part of the Due North Trail Race Series and follows the same route used by the Kettlewell Trail Half Marathon. The course climbs out of Arncliffe to the top of Arncliffe Moor, then remains on the moor for about 3 km with mainly gentle downhill and some undulating sections. The route offers views over Starbotton and Kettlewell and finishes with a downhill section looking toward Kilnsey Crag. The event is based at the car park field at Hawkswick Cote.
Runners must register at the tent in the car park to collect race numbers. Minimum age is 17. The entry structure includes different fees for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, and a series discount is available for entries to three or more events in the series. The course is partially way marked and there are drinks stations offering water and juice.
Post-race provisions include a meal such as pie or soup, Due North merchandise, and sponsor goodies. Free car parking is provided and toilets are available in the car park. Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a cup or bottle for drinks stations, and a mobile phone with a location app such as OS Locate.
