Kent Backyard Ultra Series 2.3 Sholden

Kent Backyard Ultra Series 2.3 takes place on Saturday 10 April 2027 at Lillyroo’s Glamping, Sandwich Road, Deal, Kent CT14 0AT. The event offers the full Backyard Ultra format and a 7 Hour Challenge, with total places capped at 120 and the 7 Hour Challenge limited to 10 places.

The format uses a repeated loop known as a yard. Each yard is a 4.167-mile loop that must be completed within an hour to continue. Completing seven yards covers just over 29 miles. The course is a flat, out and back gravel trail across coastal marshland, with around 8 metres of ascent per yard. The route is described as wide, runnable and easy to follow, and runners pass each other regularly on the out and back section.

The venue provides camping, glamping and campervan options and on site amenities include a bar and freshly cooked food. Supporters and crew are welcome and free parking is available on site. The event is part of Kent Backyard Ultra Series II and is listed as the third event in a four event series that presents different terrain and start conditions across Kent.

Recognition is awarded for performance, including medals and buckles for specific achievements. Minimum age is 16 and runners under 18 require parent or guardian consent. Runners have given the event positive feedback on organisation, atmosphere and on site support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
