Event Overview
The Kāpiti Women's Triathlon is an established multisport event that has been operating since 1983. Located in Raumati Beach, the event is designed for women of various ages and fitness levels. Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a team to complete different combinations of swimming, cycling, running, and walking.
Course Options
The event offers several disciplines and distances to accommodate different levels of experience. Participants can choose from the following categories:

- 5 km Run or Walk
- 10 km Run or Walk
The long-distance triathlon and duathlon are intended for experienced participants who can complete the course in approximately two hours. For safety and logistics, participants in the swim must be at least 9 years old, while those taking part in the cycle must be at least 12 years old.
Participation Details
The event weekend begins with registration and merchandise pick-up at the Raumati Bowling Club on the day prior to the race. On the morning of the event, participants rack their bikes in a designated transition area and attend a mandatory briefing before the staggered wave starts. The swim segments feature a beach start, while the run and walk events begin at the footbridge over the Wharemauku stream.
