Kachess Ridge 50 : Cle Elum, WA
Kachess Ridge 50 is a point to point trail race held in Cle Elum, Washington on August 21, 2027, organized by Evergreen Trail Runs. The event features multiple distances and a finish at Salmon La Sac.

Shuttles transport runners to the starting line at Kachess Lake. The course follows the Kachess Ridge Trail with an initial climb of over 1,300 feet. Runners reach Hard Cheese Aid Station at about 7.5 miles. At that point the 50K continues along the ridge while the 50M performs an additional figure eight loop in the French Cabin Creek area before rejoining.
After the loop both distances climb to the Thorp Mountain Lookout, which tops out at 5,853 feet and uses a token system at the summit. The route then offers about five miles of rolling ridgeline to No Name Ridge Aid Station, followed by a steady descent into the Cooper River drainage. The course passes Cooper Lake, follows the Cooper River to its confluence with the Cle Elum River, and finishes at Salmon La Sac.
The course is remote; runners should be prepared to carry enough water, snacks, and electrolytes for up to 12 miles between aid stations. Camping, post-race food, and post-race festivities are available at the Salmon La Sac finish. Registration opens November 9, 2026.
