2027 Juneteenth Menare Foundation 6k and 12k
The event is a trail race held at Button Farm Living History Center in Germantown, Maryland on June 19, 2027, in observance of Juneteenth. Distances offered are a 6k and a 12k run. The course follows the Schaeffer Farm Trails around Button Farm and is described as hilly and scenic. The 6k is one lap and the 12k is two laps. Walkers are welcome and a virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T shirts are guaranteed for entries completed before June 9. Early registration fees are listed as $35 for the 6k and $50 for the 12k through May 31; fees increase after that and there is an additional race morning increase.
The event awards the top three men and women overall and awards first and second place in standard age groups from 19 and under through 70 and older. Results are posted live and final results with series points are published after the race. Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series.
Course support includes water stations on both distances, Gatorade at some stations, portable restrooms near parking and check-in, and on-site parking at Button Farm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
