About the race
2027 Falling for You is a road and trail event held on February 13, 2027 at Great Falls Maryland (11710 MacArthur Blvd). The routes run alongside the Potomac River and the C&O Canal and offer an out-and-back layout on a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change. Participants can view waterfalls near the finish area.

- 5k
- 10k
- Half-marathon
The event awards chip timing, a finisher’s medal and a technical Dri-FIT event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before February 3; additional shirts are available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis. Live results are posted on Athlinks and a QR code at the race provides immediate access to individual times; final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. A virtual race option is available for those not attending in person.
Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance and Back of the Pack Series, and they also count toward the Winter Series. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Water stations are supplied along each course: one on the 5k, four on the 10k, and seven on the half marathon; some stations include Gatorade. Restrooms are located near the roundabout. Packet pickup is available at the event and there will be no on-site race registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
