Jerome Hill Climb

The Jerome Hill Climb is a road and dirt course listed at 4.5 miles. The route begins at the Jerome Historical Museum, goes through the streets of Jerome, continues on a dirt road past the Gold King Mine, and ends at a view overlooking Sedona.

Runners are asked to be as self-sufficient as possible. The course passes two aid stations offering water, and water and snacks are available for pickup at the finish area prior to leaving. Timing is by traditional bib pull and all times are recorded from the starting gun. After the finish, participants face an approximate 3.5 mile jog or walk back to parked cars.

Packet pick-up is provided. Mail-in registration forms must be received by Monday, August 31. Day of race registration is processed through RunSignUp only and has a stated close time on the event page. Parking in Jerome is limited; the suggested main lot is past the Fire Department building, followed by an approximately one mile downhill walk or jog to the start. There is no parking or drop-off at the start line. Spectators are not allowed to drive on the course because the dirt road is narrow and dusty.

T-shirt options are offered. Unisex 50/50 shirts are included with adult registrations, youth and young adult shirts are available for purchase, and vintage shirts from previous years may be sold for a small cash price. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
